ENVIS RP-NBRI Celebrated “World Ozone Day-2019” at Bhopal Vigyan Mela-2019

The four days 8th Bhopal Vigyan Mela was jointly organized by Vigyan Bharti and CSIR-AMPRI, Bhopal, during 13-16 September 2019 at BHEL, Dushera Mela Ground at Bhopal.
Minister of Science and Technology Shri. PC Sharma, Director General CSIR Dr. Shekhar Mande and Director, CSIR-AMPRI, Dr. Avnish Kumar Srivastava has graced the inauguration ceremony with their presence.
The event was started with grand participation of scientists, students and experts from all over the country. There was more than 100 stall by government and nongovernment departments in the fair.
Dr. Vivek Srivastava, Coordinator ENVIS RP-NBRI emphasized on the harmful effects of the Ozone Depleting Substances like Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCS), Hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCS), Hydrobromoflurocarbons (HBFCS), Halons, Methyl Bromide, Carbon Tetrachloride, Methyl Chloroform, etc. on Ozone Layer.
Mr. Sunil Tripathi, Programme Officer, ENVIS RP-NBRI demonstrated the educational display related to harmful effects of ozone layer depletion, Montreal Protocol and India’s role to implements the Montreal Protocol. He has distributed ENVIS- Newsletters and Brochures to the visitors and students.
More than 300 visitors have been visited the ENVIS RP-NBRI Stall and shown their interest to in World Ozone Day Brochures and educational display.
Minister of Panchayat and Rural Development Govt of M.P. Shri Kamleshwar Patel and Former Governer of Haryana Shri Kaptan Singh Solanki were the chief guests on the valedictory function. He congratulated Bhopal Vigyan Mela organizers for the successful event. CSIR-NBRI secured IIIrd Place in Best Educational Stall Category at the end of the event.
