World Environment Day-2021

On the occasion of "World Environment Day-2021" ENVIS-RP-NBRI has organised Online Competitions on the topic "Actions, Choices & Voices for initiating join#GenerationRestoration" under three categories Poster, Cartoon and Short Essay for School/ College/ University/ Institute students and general public.
Participants belong to class V-VIII (Category-A), class IX-XII (Category-B), Undergraduates (Category-C) and Postgraduates (Category-D) have taken part in the event. Deadline for submission of entrie was June 3rd, 2021(Thursday) by 1800 hrs.
Participants were requested to kindly provide their names, father's name, class, name of school/college/university/institute, photograph, full address, mobile number along with their handmade entries. One participant was allowed to take part in more than one online competition. Medium of entries was both Hindi or English.
Director CSIR-NBRI Prof. SK Barik has constitute a panel of expert to screen and short-list appealing entries. Final Decision on ranking of entries was done by the panel with three best entries.
ENVIS-RP-NBRI has also organized two Webinars on the following topics:
  1. "Making Ganga Basin Water Surplus through Ecological Restoration" delivered by Prof. Venkatesh Dutta of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow
  2. "Preventing, Halting and Reversing the Degradation of Ecosystems" delivered by Dr. Pankaj Kumar Srivastava, Principal Scientist & Coordinator, ENVIS-RP-NBRI, Lucknow
An Online Environmental Quiz was also organized during the webinar on June 5th 2021 for undergraduate and postgraduate participants.
The theme of Join#GenerationRestoration was popularized by the event covering cities, farmlands, forests, oceans.
